Christmas Wish For Long-time Friendship

There's no nicer time than Christmas to remember special people, like friends and the dearest long-time friendships.

A long-time friendship means the most, It's lasted through the years, sharing both the good and bad, the laughter and the tears. A long-time friendship keeps on growing stronger every day, supporting and accepting you all year.

Our friendship is filled with treasured memories, loving warm, and true. Our friendship means so very much, It has right from the start. I remember all the shearing heart to heart be had. And though the world keeps changing, as the days and years go past, we keep right on proving that good friends were meant to last.

Leonardo’s Blog

I was looking some of Leonardo entries. One that catches my attention was the one he talks about his classes this semester. According to him this semester his classes are much extended that before. To the point that he say: “that his class on Thursday that begins at 8:00am through 1:50pm is almost 6 hours for this class, it is very stressful.”
What he doesn’t know is that he is not alone. I’m going through the same situation. My classes are long and the most part of the class you don’t have to copy just listen and if something come to debate give your point of view. So, sometimes that’s kind of boring. But just like him I will to try my best each semester and although class are long and stressful the best we could do is do are best and be patience that everything will be recompense in the future.

Flutter Your Sashes

Wearing kimonos is a complicated affair. But I'm going to tell you one of the easiest ways to tie a kimono sash (or obi), which is usually worn with a more casual or summer kimono(yukata).

I read this in http://www.japanesekimono.com/obi_belts.htm and the"Shojo Beat Manga Fron The Heart Magazine." I wish I could tell you how to tie them in other worlds, but the thing is that this is the only way I know to tie them. ­U_U… I read it not too long ago, and I kind of memorized it. And now because is like a process there not too much I could add. Well although I could say be patience if the first time doesn’t come right. Keep trying will practice you will get better.

1. Wrap The Obi

Fold one end of the fabric in half lengthwise, to about 18 inches from the end. Place the folded end over your right shoulder, crossing it diagonally to your left waist. Wrap the unfolded fabric around your body twice( or once, if your obi is shorter), with the bottom edge at your waist and the top edge just below your bust line, pulling it snug.

2. Tie The Obi

Fold the remaining unfolded obi fabric upward diagonally (lengthwise) from your right side to your left side, and hold it in place with your left hand. With your right hand, fold down the folded end you placed on your shoulder and loop it around the other end once. Make sure to make the loop high, near the top edge of the obi ( near your bust line), and pull it tight.

3. Determine The Size Of Your Bow

With one hand on each end, twist the ends 180 degrees. Place one end over your left shoulder and take the other end in your right hand. Fold the section of fabric in your right hand in accordion-like folds until it is approximately the same width as your shoulders.

4. Make The Bow

Pinch this fold of fabric at the center, and then draw the end of the obi on your left shoulder forward and loop it around the pinched area twice. Tuck the excess fabric behind the obi, and pull it down so that the end peeks out from the bottom at the waistline.

5. Turn It Arroumd

Smooth and even out the sides of your bow so they match, then pull down on the end sticking out at your waist to tighten the center. Tuck the excess fabric back underneath the obi. Finally slide your beautiful creation around your body so that the bow is at your back.

They always say that you must look Untarnished so your kimono will look gorgeous on you.

Homosexual Couples Must Be Allowed To Marry

For as long as the commitment of marriage has been around, has also the belief that it represents the union of one man and one woman. Now gay men and lesbians are challenging that commitment. They belive that their relationships mean the same as heterosexual marriages. Homosexual would like to see their marriages legalized.

Gay marriages are highly emotionaltopics in the 20s. Many people feel That gay marriages would show heterosexual people how much two people can love each other even if they are of the same sex. Homosexual relationships are more than just sex with someone of the same gender. Homosexual relationships include feelings and being able to share those feelings with the person you love. “People have become used to the idea of defining gay people solely in terms of sexual acts,” says Gregory Herek, a research psychologist at the University of California, Davis. I think many heterosexual get very nervous when they have to think of gay people in terms of relationships, because its changing the way they have always thought about gay people. I find it interesting that the same people who condemn homosexuality as being a promiscuous lifestyle also say they’re against gay marriage because they wouldn’t want to recognize stable gay relationships. But I think that if two people love each other, they should be able to get married even if they are of the same sex.
I feel that marriages between gays or lesbians should be given the same status as heterosexual marriages. Although heterosexual people think that gay people should not be thinking they can broaden the institution of marriage to include themselves. I say they should be able to do it. Even if the institution of marriage is recognized be the church and homosexuality don’t. Some religious leaders are the most forceful advocates of same-sex marriage. I remember that one time when I was in a reunion I heard someone saying that in Hawaii alone, many faiths such as the reform and reconstructionist branches of Judaism, Quaker, Buddhist, Episcopal and many individual protestant congregations are involved in the pro-marriage campaign. But now I think that on the opposite side of the coin there are many faiths that condemn gay marriage. They feel that these people defy the Bible.
I feel that gay people have given a reason that carries enough weight for the government to legalize same-sex marriage. Gay people should fight for the right to marry. Gay couples should be afforded the same benefits as heterosexual couples.

Comment on Gleisy's blog

In this blog Gleisy talks about books and internet. She mention some points of why books to are good when it comes to do a project, but she also say that with the evolution of technology the internet become more helpful. Although that doesn’t mean that internet is more accurate; because she also say that “anybody can sticks information.” I’m agree with that because not always you can have the real source or facts that you can probe. And in some cases people provide their opinions. Yes, internet is fast and you can get lot information but still you have to be carefully and make sure the information you got is precise.

The Project is Done

We finish our project; everybody contribute and in my personal opinion we did a great job. The project looks fresh, direct, with some pictures and most important with a good background. Really my group mates worked very hard to make this project a successful one. All of us did our best to make it work, since the beginning we worked as a team.
In my part “Types of Essays,” what I did was explain the different ways of essays and how you could create them.

A time I deserve

Today is one of those cloudy days and I wish I were at home under my sheets. I have been working twelve hours this past three days, without having a single second to spend with myself or to look at my image in the mirror. And on top of that last night, after another twelve long hours going crazy, some friend of mine called me and kept me on the phone for a whole hour and a half talking about things I didn't even listen. I don't want to seem a complainer, but I could use a bit of time to rest.

Web Project

Well today we decided how the main page will look. We agreed that in that page we will have a brief introduction and the menu with the topics that each one of us is going to talk. We did the licks for each topic and put the same font for the hold page.
At the end we arranged that each one of us will finish at home. Personally I’m a little behind schedule but I trying to keep up with the work. U_U

Anxious

I felt a definite sense of anxiety over some time. No good reasons, nothing substantional that should cause me to be worried.

I felt anxious when the university started, and I was wondering what it would be. How it was going to work, the teachers, their reactions, my classmates, the change from high school to university. It's a big difference I know I'm always going to have a ceratin amount of stress in my life. And I also know that people who have anxiety are people who most of the time have stress or worries. Anxiety could leave you with the result of not let you fall asleep because of the thoughts that you have in your mind. Another thing that anxiety makes you have is shaky hands and a bad headache.

You should try to calm down and be relaxed even if it's just for one instant. You have to learn how to deal that. If you are anxious, try to think of other things and be strong.

Intuition

I disappoint some people when I discuss intuition;because I firmly believe that intuitive or symbolic sight is not a gift or a generic ability but a skill- a skill based in self- esteem. Clear intuition requires the ability to respect our own impressions.And there is no such thing as intuitive or non-intuitive people across the board. Rather, people intuition tends to be more accurate the more they accumulated expertise in a particular field. I believe that it is possible to improve one’s intuition by working in the same field for years, accumulating so much experience that our brain eventually tends to transfer part of the processing to the subconscious and we suddenly seem to “know” the answer, almost before we can formulate the question.All we have to do is improve our self and develop our skills.

Remember all of us have intuitive feelings all the time.

What we had been taught thru time is that when we write an essay we must use good techniques, grammar, punctuation, organization, etc. We rarely hear something about what type of essays we should use when we write and what format we must follow.

Well there are many different types of essays, but actually they could be grouped into four categories:

Narrattion

Have you ever asked a grandparent to tell you a story about a long time ago? All of us have at some point did, because we like to hear what happened before.When they responded what he or she was doing was narrating a story,telling about events and actions that occurred in the pass.

Most of the time we use narration when we want to tell an experience that happened during a particular time.Also when we want to write it in chronological order and give descriptive details.

DESCRIPTION

Description is more used in poems,specially when you want to appeal to the senses and give a verval picture.

Yes,people aren't borm social, sure it comes easier to some people...But most people, need to work at it. Red Lotus Blossom

The other day I was reading my magazine "Shojo Beat Manga from the Heart," and in one of the stories one of the characters had a tattoo in her arm; it was a flower she called “Ren flower,” because that was her ex boyfriend’s name. I never heard that name, so I took my time and start searching for the real meaning of that flower.
My research led me to know that wasn’t a “Ren flower,” like she called. It’s was really a red lotus blossom. In Japanese, the word for lotus is hasu; it’s writing as a character that also reads as ren, so I guess that’s why she called it like that the flower, so she will remember him.
Anyway according to Buddhist symbolism, the lotus represents purity and divine birth. http://buddhism.about.com/cs/art/g/Lotus.htm .
But you know what I think that a red lotus, however, has a more specific meaning. It is the flower of the heart- of love and passion. It is the flower for true love for the love of your life.

Well this time I’m going to write about Jacqueline’blog and her article about "Life is Amazing," http://jackie80.blogspot.com/, right now all I could say is that I really respect the way she express her self, I admire the way she was able to wrote how she feel, what she thinks and what she expect from life.
She’s right when she said “that everything happen for a reason,” because you could know what you want, but you will never know what could happen in the way. She also mentions the strength you most have to overcome any difficulty that you have. And once again I agree with her, because I think you need to be brave. You have to rise above the fear in your own heart. Or you won’t be able to find loveor happiness.
I believe; you just have to enjoy being here. Because although you have problems, you have to think that’s great to be alive.

Geisha : The Traditional Japanese Ideal of Beauty

Geishas are one of the things i'm interesting, to those of us raised in jeans and T-shirts, the world of geisha (or geiko in Kyoto)- with their elaborated hairstyles, white-painted skin, and heavy silk kimonos- is almost incomprehensible.

I been reading about geishas since i was 16, their culture and the traditional skills they have to learned when they are trained.By the early eighteenth century, geisha had so established themselves that they gained a registry office."The total number of geisha in the 1920's was 80,000, but today the number of geisha has dropped to 10,000 due to the westernizing of Japanese culture." http://marian.creighton.edu/~marian-w/academics/english/japan/geisha/whatgeisha.html. Geisha in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries supported a whole economy of servants and dressers.Although they earn their pay from performing for men, geisha live within a matriarchal environment. Geisha today are respected for preserving Japanese traditions and culture rether than for being on the cutting edge of fashion. They still have to attend banquets and parties.Also they're still expected to know traditional dances, songs, know how to play musical instruments and master the etiquette of the highly complex tea ceremony.

Why All The Indifferent ???

For a long time Noriko and Tsubasa had been friends. They know each other since they were in kindergarten, but lately they been apart.That's why Tsubasa decided to write a letter to Noriko. She didn't know how to start, because she was afraid that if she don’t find the right words maybe things could get worse and all she want is to be friends again and forget about any altercate they had in the pass...but at the end she decided to be direct, so she begings by telling her what she thinks and what is in her mind.

Noriko:

Now I’ve been looking for a reason for us to have fallen out, a reason for you to be so evasive and act different. I didn’t scare you off, did I?I don’t think I said anything that might have offended or hurt you in any way. This is a very awkward and uncomfortable situation; I care a lot about you and yet when we meet we don’t even get together to talk anymore… it feels so strange!What happened, do you know? I’ve tried to find out why and to analyse what could have made us grow apart but I couldn’t find any plausible reason. In the beginning, everything was fine; But then you start acting funny and now you treat me with such indifference that it makes me feel uncomfortable.I’m writing this letter just to say that I miss those times when we were true friends. It’s true that I wish things goback to the way they used to be before and that we could restart that beautiful friendship we had.Why don’t you call me or just simply give me a hug next time we come across each other in college? I hope I’m still addressing the same sensitive person I used to talk not so long ago!

I miss you, I can't stand being like this with you. Put that sorrow behind, throw away that anger and accept my plea for reconciliation.

Erika's Blogger

Erika is one of my classmates and she is from Colombia, same as me. In one of her bloggers she talks about her country-well our country- she begging by given a little geography description, which included the name of the main cities and the official language.
In her second paragraph she mentions the type of weather. And she also gives some facts about people visiting Colombia. After that she said the most important economical and social characteristics of the country.
She gives brief but general information about the country and she mentions most of the main points that someone has to know when it comes to know Colombia.
When you start reading her article you could notice the excitement and feeling she had talking about her country. She really reflects her emotions in her writing.

Akito's Good Bye

Sana is a teenager star and Akito a bully, they fell in love and now Akito is saying good bye. His moving, so he have to broke up with Sana; but before he leave he had something to tell her.

That was the opportunity he had to thank her for everything and let her know how much she mean to him. Akito asked Sana to meet at the park near the cherry blossom, once they were there he start saying:

My dears, I love you, more than before but I have to leave. I wish I can tell you everything that's in my mind .And yet, no matter what words I use, I will never be able to express all the gratitude I feel in my heart. Many were the years of togetherness and I cannot remember a single moment I did not get support and affection from you.I was always made so welcome that I can only thank you for everything you did for me, and apologize for leaving so suddenly. I hope you understand the circumstances that prompted such an urgent departure. To be honest, I'm glad I can thank you personally for every thing you gave me, I'm glad i can hug you one last time… I will be far away now, thousands of miles wistand between us, but I want you to know I will carry you with me.You live and travel with me in the deepest and warmest corner of my heart.I'll miss you.

Sana i want you to be happy, your love, you most cherish it.I know you can never have the same love twice. Because when one love ends... even if you fall in love with someone else...you can never have the same love again.Even love matures. It's like a flower.You have to cherish it while it blooms. Love mature...so we have to mature too. What I'm trying to said is that although we love each other we most go on with our life. And I sincerely hope that all your projects come true.

I was checking some of my classmates’ bloggers and one of them catch my attention; it was Katrina’s blogger http://creating-05.blogspot.com/, actually the one that talks about reincarnation. She was very brief but direct at the same time. She gives her opinion about the topic and she even was honest in telling people that she is a skeptic person. She gives one link called “http://www.childpastlives.org/” and one book Brian L. Weiss's master piece, "Many lives, many masters" in which she mentioned you could find more information if you want to learn more about this topic.
I like the fact that at the end she said that “Even though she have learned a lot, it is impossible for her to say that she is now a believer.” I find that interesting because although she talks about this exciting topic and give you all this helping information; she still had her doubts about the whole thing.
I think that’s a really good writing because although she’s not convinced the whole way that didn’t stop her to write it or give her point of view.
